POLITICS and TWEETS

The post in a lot of ways continues from the last but I thought it was quite important to place it in a separate section . With the election and all the hype surrounding it people obviously want to have there say and parties are working to convince the nation to vote for them. So there have obviously been a few campaign that have been released in order to give the public a platform on which they give give their views. A couple of the sites that have found are particularly relevant to the project, not only because of the idea of sharing views, but due to their prominent use of social networking. Many of the campaigns embrace the powers of social networking allowing views to be shared; in particular twitter so this is really a continuation of the last post; but perphaps with a more direct audience. Some of the layouts that the sites used and could be useful when trying to think about my own site and how that will function and look aesthetically.

10 Downing Tweets:

10 Downing Tweets is aimed to give the public a platform for discussion, it allows tweets to be uploaded, and online votes to happen in regards to the election to see a online ballot of which party should be elected.

'the site aggregates tweets from various parties and leaders, to allow people to read those political thoughts and take part in an online election.'

SpeechBreaker:

Secondly I came across this extremely funny site that uses social networking in order to allow the viewer to make chains of words that are then made in video from clips of party leaders saying the sentences they've made. The videos are then placed on the youtube speech breaker page for the whole world to see! I found the article in creative review; take a look and see the videos I've found on youtube - Brilliant!
